Margaret Willey’s young adult novel BEETLE BOY was a fiction finalist for the Society of Midland Writers Award in the category of Children’s Fiction. She publishes in many genres—picture books, short stories, novels for teenagers (9) and essays. Her picture book CLEVER BEATRICE was chosen as the book to represent Michigan in the Library of Congress’ 2018 Discover Great Places through Reading list. In 2010 she received a Michigan Reading Association Award for impacting literacy in her state. She lives in Grand Haven with her husband. She is currently writing a middle-grade novel and an essay collection about her childhood in Michigan.
